Badel 1862 Hrvatska Stara �ljivovica Plum Brandy

Badel Hrvatska Stara �ljivovica is a well-known brandy made by Badel 1862. It is created through distilling the local plum type called Bistrica, but special methods in fruit processing, preservation, and aging distinguish Badel Stara �ljivovica as a unique drink suitable for any occasion. In my glass, Badel's Stara sljivovica was pleasantly light and approachable. Made from the Bistrica plum variety, this rakija had subtle, clean, and fresh scents and flavors of plum, lemon zest, and spice. It had a golden hue and was aged in Slavonian oak, resulting in a harmonious combination of fruity aromas and a touch of soft wood spice on the palate.
