Clear Creek Apple 2 Year Old Brandy
Clear Creek Apple Brandy is made using Golden Delicious apples sourced from the Yakima Valley in Washington. These apples are crushed and fermented, and then the resulting liquid is distilled in a pot still at Clear Creek's facility in Portland, Oregon. Following the distillation process, the spirit is aged for at least two years in Limousin oak barrels imported from France before it is bottled. This two-year period of barrel ageing gives the brandy a pale straw color. On the nose, one can detect distinct notes of crisp apple. The Limousin oak contributes a subtle woody flavor with a touch of vanilla, which helps to smooth out any harsh edges without overpowering the fruit essence. Despite its relatively young age, this brandy has a light and smooth character. It is a straightforward and approachable spirit that is particularly enjoyable during the autumn months.
