After a 20-year search, they finally discovered the small and picturesque yellow plums needed to create this delicate and fragrant eau de vie at King Estate in Eugene, Oregon. The Clear Creek eau de vie of Mirabelle is distinguished by its rich and captivating scent, intense plum flavor, and refreshing aftertaste. Florence Fabricant from the New York Times, in an article from August 25, 2004, describes these plums as beautiful and notes that the resulting eau de vie possesses an invigorating sparkle, with a distinct yellow plum and unripe peach aroma and taste.
