Copper & Kings Floodwall American Craft Apple Brandy

The Floodwall spirit is named after the famous protective wall that can be found behind their distillery in Butchertown. It is an exceptional blend of high-quality apple brandy that has been distilled in copper pots and aged in both Kentucky bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks from Spain. By combining American apple brandy that has been aged for a minimum of four years, a rich and robust spirit has been created. Floodwall is produced without chill filtration and does not have any added apple flavor, essences, oak flavor, infusion, sugar, or caramel color. This ensures that the natural flavors and colors are preserved, providing an authentic and unadulterated taste. In terms of appearance, Floodwall has a mahogany color and an almost oily texture. Its aroma is earthy and reminiscent of a root cellar, with the added sweetness of honeyed apples. Despite its freshness, it also possesses a delightful complexity. Floral notes of honeysuckle and butterscotch intermingle with hints of whiskey, oak, and vanilla. When it comes to taste, Floodwall is notably crisp and lively with a slight mid-palate intensity. It has a distinctive "scotchy" quality and a slightly nutty rancio flavor, along with the sweetness of sherry butterscotch and the skin of red apples. It also offers a spiciness that adds a touch of excitement. As for the finish, Floodwall leaves an oily texture on the tongue and lingers for a long time. It provides a delightfully vibrant and zesty back end finish.
