Fassbind Fine Pomme 7 Eau-de-Vie

The oldest ancestors of the Fassbind family were already cultivating cherry trees and distilling cherry brandy in 1395. However, the official Fassbind distillery in Urschwyzer was established much later, in 1846. Just a decade after its establishment, the distillery received a gold medal at the World Exhibition in Paris from Napolon III. This recognition was a significant achievement at the time. The apple brandy produced by Fassbind is crafted using fully ripe and sweet-aromatic Gravenstein apples. These apples are hand-sorted and mashed before undergoing a double distillation process. Following fermentation, the mash is aged for two years in stainless steel tanks to allow its aroma to fully develop. The aging process is carried out with great care and precision. The resulting brandy exhibits fruitful and intense apple notes, and it has a long-lasting finish.
