Fassbind Vieille Barrique Vieille Framboise

As early as 1395, the ancestors of the Fassbind family in Holland were growing cherry trees and making cherry brandy before they moved to Switzerland. However, the official Fassbind distillery in Schwyz was not established until 1846. Just ten years later, the distillery received a gold medal from Napolon III at the World Exhibition in Paris, which was considered an esteemed recognition for European distilleries at that time. All Fassbind spirits are made using local fruit and carefully selected herbs and berries, which are either macerated or distilled separately in the Marienbad. The Fassbind Vieille Framboise Barrique follows an old family recipe and is first macerated and then distilled. It is then aged for one year in an oak barrel.
