G. E. Massenez, a renowned distiller, has upheld the tradition of producing high-quality eaux de vie in the Alsatian region. Unlike mass-produced spirits, Massenez has chosen to preserve traditional production methods while meeting modern standards of excellence. Only the finest fruits are carefully selected, distilled, and aged for years before bottling. The wild raspberry eau de vie, created in 1913 by Eug�ne Massenez, remains a closely guarded recipe. To capture its exceptional fragrance, raspberries are handpicked in the early morning with dew still lingering. In the past, only those of noble lineage were allowed to savor this rare elixir due to the scarcity of the fruits. However, it is now more accessible, though the demanding process requires eight kilos of fruit per bottle. The wild raspberry eau de vie possesses a delicately alluring scent that captivates all who taste it. While it may lack pronounced fruity flavors, it offers a malty and warm sensation on both the nose and palate. The finish reveals a cooked-berry essence accompanied by a hint of white pepper spiciness.
