Geiger Johannisbeere im Madeirafass
This blackcurrant brandy from Hattenhofen in the Black Forest is aged in Madeira casks for three years. These casks have previously been used five times to store red wines, resulting in a unique aroma of berry fruits, including dark chocolate, raspberries, forest berries, and a hint of elderflower. The brandy is bottled at 42% alcohol by volume, which is the standard strength for Jrg Geiger brandies. It offers a complex flavor profile with notes of dark berries, forest berries, raspberries, licorice, dark chocolate, a hint of dampness, earthiness, green leaves, moss, nettle, mint, delicate elderflower, pleasant acidity, medicinal quince, petrol-like iodine, and a slight bitterness.
