Laird's Applejack Blended Brandy

Lairds Blended Applejack Brandy is a product from one of the oldest distilleries in the United States, founded in 1698. They make their brandy using fully ripened apples and naturally occurring yeasts, and employ pot distillation and charred barrels in the process. The resulting brandy is then mixed with grain spirit. Despite the name "applejack," this product is not made through the traditional method of freezing hard cider and extracting the alcoholic liquid core. Its appearance is similar to a Canadian whiskey, with a burnished bronze color. The initial impression is a combination of alcohol and green apples, followed by a taste of caramel, apple, and a hint of spice. However, it lacks the complexity of its older unblended versions and has a hot finish.
