Lantenhammer Sauerkirsch Brand unfiltriert

The Lantenhammer sour cherry noble brandy raw is obtained from farmers located in the Meissen area of Saxony. The sour cherries are meticulously harvested at the optimal time and then delivered to the Lantenhammer distillery in multiple batches. This process allows the cherries to maintain contact with the tree for as long as possible, resulting in a heightened aroma. The brandy itself is a clear sour cherry liquor with a slight natural cloudiness. It has an intense fragrance of aromatic cherry with a hint of marzipan. Its taste is delicate and complex, making it a unique sour cherry specialty. The finish is mild and leaves a pleasant aftertaste. Should water be added to the distillate, it will cause cloudiness. This occurrence is due to the essential oils, terpenes, and minerals present in the distillate, as well as the quality of the water used. When the brandy is distilled effectively and pure water is used, the cloudiness remains minimal and clear. It typically undergoes filtration at a temperature of 0C until the distillate becomes transparent. The cloudiness caused by cold temperatures is hardly noticeable above +20C, but below +6C, it appears as a dense fog. The cloudiness may vary from year to year as the brandy is derived from natural products and the fruit quality is not consistent.
