Roner Waldhimbeergeist (Raspberry)
The Roner family business is situated in Tramin on the South Tyrolean Wine Road and has been producing high-quality distillates since 1946, when Gottfried Roner started experimenting with distillation. Alongside grappas and fruit distillates, the family also produces liqueurs, which have received numerous awards attesting to their quality. Among their offerings is the forest raspberry spirit, which captures the scent of the wild raspberries found in the mountain forests. Through a gentle double distillation process in small copper stills, the unique, full fruitiness and delicacy of the raspberries is preserved in each bottle. The spirit has a clear appearance and offers fruity aromas reminiscent of wild berries, a sweet and intense taste of wild berries, and a long-lasting finish. The Roner Waldhimbeergeist is a fruit brandy that originates from Tramin, where the Roner distillery is located. This distillery has been producing fine fruit brandies for over 50 years. For the forest raspberry spirit, only fresh bush and tree fruits from South Tyrolean locations are used, carefully cleaned before the mashing process begins. The brandies are then distilled twice in copper pots using a gentle method. The forest raspberries used for this spirit are sourced from the Cembra and Fersental valleys in South Tyrol, which have high altitudes. The result is a fresh and vibrant fruit brandy with a floral bouquet and a natural aroma.
