Streuli's Mirabelle de Nancy Fruchtbrand

Steuli's private distillery is located near Lake Zurich in a picturesque rural setting. Despite its tranquil surroundings, the distillery has easy access to various highways, allowing for the "export" of their fruit brandies and liqueurs throughout Switzerland without any complications. The Steuli family has been residing in Rietwies since 1869, and in 1894 they acquired the old distillery, which is still in operation today. Currently, the fifth generation of the family is leading the distillery, sourcing raw materials from approximately 200 trees for their distillation process. Since 2011, a modern distillery has been established, ensuring an enhanced quality of the spirits produced. One of their special products is the Mirabelle brandy "Mirabelle de Nancy," which is crafted in small batches of fewer than 200 bottles. Each bottle contains approximately 4kg of fruit, resulting in a distinct flavor profile that brings to mind dried fruit, compote, marzipan, and, of course, Mirabelle.
