The Seventh Sense Doppel Wacholder Juniper Spirit

Everyone knows about gin. The popularity of the juniper bush has grown because of gin, as it is a key ingredient in traditional gin. Although juniper berries are commonly used, they are actually cones, which is why the aroma of juniper is resinous, woody, and spicy rather than fruity. A double juniper refers to a spirit that only contains juniper and has a higher alcohol content compared to regular juniper spirits, which typically start at 30% ABV. The production process for juniper is similar to gin, but with the focus solely on the single botanical. The juniper berries are soaked in a mixture of ethyl alcohol and water to extract their flavors, and then the liquid is distilled. The Seventh Sense's double juniper was created in partnership with the Basel City Distillery, which is known for its small yet diverse product range. This spirit has a distinct taste of coniferous wood.
