Ziegler Alte Zwetschge

The Ziegler Alte Zwetschge noble brand surprises with its delicate and highly aromatic flavor, with undertones of chestnuts. The fruits used for this brand are harvested very late, almost overripe, resulting in a rich and intense fruit taste. After distillation, the brand is aged in oak and chestnut barrels, giving it a soft and rounded flavor. The brand is filled at 43% volume in an attractively designed 700 ml bottle. The aging process not only gives the brand a warm, dark color but also enhances the aromas, similar to the way whiskey is aged. Approximately 15 kg of ripe fruits are used to make one bottle of this brand. The distillery recommends enjoying the Alte Zwetschen brand as a digestive, or adding it to coffee or chocolate for a flavorful twist. Its complex flavors also make it a good accompaniment to a cigar.
