A. De Fussigny XO
Description
The A de Fussigny XO Cognac is an award-winning blend with a contemporary and delicious taste. It is made up of at least 50% Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie, with the remainder coming from Petite Champagne. The maturation process takes place in the humid cellars of A de Fussigny's location by the River Charente for a minimum of ten years, resulting in an aromatic and elegant Cognac. The Champagne terroirs, known for their calcareous soil, undulating hills, and sheltered climate, create eaux-de-vie with a balanced blend of floral, fruity, and spicy notes. The excellent growing conditions and steady maturation of grapes in this region are thanks to the deep chalky soil and the proximity to the river. This allows for consistent quality and the development of flavors that represent the brand. The Cognac has a deep bronze color with flashes of mahogany. The aroma offers dried fruits, winter spice, hazelnut, and orange groves, as well as the pleasant scent of old cellars and oak staves. It has a silky and well-balanced palate, with evolving notes of dried fruits, white flowers, and hazelnut cream, leading to a sweet flavor of dark berries. The finish is long and bursting with toffee, leather, and spiced vanilla.
