Ararat Nairi 20 Year Old Brandy
Description
This exceptional brandy, which has been aged for a minimum of 20 years, is the finest in our collection. It is named after Nairi, an ancient name for Armenia, to honor its prestige. The brandy is crafted from a blend of eighteen spirits, with the oldest benefiting from at least 55 years of aging, resulting in a smooth, luxurious mouthfeel. The brandy's bouquet is layered and perfectly balanced, combining mellow tones with velvety sweetness and a lingering aftertaste. The Nairi people, who inhabited the Kingdom of Urartu along Lake Van, are legendary in Armenian history. Their territory consisted of 23 prosperous regions, including the powerful "Land of Nairi", which would later become today's Armenia. The capital city of Tushpa was renowned for its fortified defenses, including a 70-kilometer canal that provided a reliable source of fresh water during long sieges. The brandy itself has a beautiful deep, dark amber color, with a pleasing glow and impeccable transparency. Its texture is harmonious, silky, complex, and refined. The fragrance has balsamic notes that transition to cedar tones. The taste is rich and intricate, with a satisfying, long-lasting aftertaste. The combination of fried bread and cloves is complemented by hints of cinnamon and honey. The brandy's aroma is complex and aromatic, with subtle hints of honey and spice. On the palate, notes of cedar and cigar leaves are present alongside a touch of honey and a hint of clove. The finish is a delightful mix of cinnamon and honey.
