This brandy originated in Armenia in 1902 and was highly esteemed, even supplying the Imperial Court of Russia. It is not well-known in Western Europe but is very popular in Armenia and neighboring countries. The brandy is made from Armenian grapes and aged for 7 years in wooden barrels. The final product is a complex and tasty brandy with flavors of oak, grapes, spice, lemon, caramel, fig, dried fruits, orange peel, and plums. It is a vibrant and elegant option as an alternative to French Cognacs.
