Caravedo La Caravedo Pisco
Description
This Caravedo pisco is made solely from the quebranta grape, one of the permitted varieties for Peruvian pisco production. Being non-aromatic, it has minimal fruity notes. Like all Peruvian piscos, it is distilled without the addition of water. It is made from 100% fully-fermented grape juice, with no pomace and is rested for at least six months without any additives such as colorants, water, sugar, or wood flavoring. The distillation process utilizes copper pot stills. The aroma is crisp and fresh, reminiscent of a summer salad including pears, grapes (with the skins), edible flowers, and microgreens. These flavors persist on the palate, complemented by a subtle sweetness and oiliness that provide a smooth texture. The finish is slightly bittersweet, with a hint of spiciness that stimulates saliva production.
