Casajuana XO
Description
Casajuana has been in operation for 25 years and offers a rich, harmonious, and long-lasting taste. It was established in 1991 by a group of 14 entrepreneurs from Tomelloso who aimed to create a new type of winery in La Mancha. The solera foundation of this brand dates back to 1892 by the Casajuana family, but it experienced its peak popularity in the mid-20th century. After being stored for over 100 years, the soleras have been reintroduced to the market. The winery, located in the center of La Mancha near the Guadiana River, utilizes the latest technology to produce wines in a traditional manner. Seventy percent of the production comes from their own vineyards in the Tomelloso region. The grapes are hand-harvested when they are at their optimal ripeness. After the fermentation and maceration processes, the wines are aged in American and French oak barrels, allowing them to develop a unique array of flavors. Casajuana also produces a high-quality brandy called Casajuana XO. Tomelloso has a reputation for being the best place in the world for producing brandy, and following the traditional soleras and crianzas method, they have created a brandy with exceptional quality. The brandy is aged in 550-liter American oak casks, where the Casajuana family began their journey in extracting the spirit from the wine. The brandy has a round, clean, and elegant aroma and a balanced and persistent taste with hints of old wood, sweet sultana, and plum. Its soft and long-lasting flavor has been enhanced over time.
