Château De Montifaud VSOP Petite Champagne Cognac
Description
Chateau Montifaud Petite Champagne VS Cognac displays flavors of vine flower, pear, apricot, dried fruits, and creme brulee. It has a smooth and refined mouthfeel with light tannins. The Vallet family has owned Chateau de Montifaud Cognac for six generations. With 125 hectares of vineyards in the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne regions, they produce a wide range of high-quality cognacs, including exceptional vintage years. The Ugni Blanc is aged on the lees for 2-3 months before being double distilled in ancient copper stills. After one year in new oak casks, it is transferred to old oak for the remaining aging time. The entire process takes around 8-10 years. The cognac has a dark antique amber color and the aroma shifts from fresh to dried florals. The palate highlights pears, apricots, and nuts with a smooth and delicate finish.
