Clés Des Ducs VS Armagnac
Description
Clés des Ducs VS is an Armagnac from Clés des Ducs distillery in the Bas-Armagnac region of France. Founded in 1774, Clés des Ducs has been producing Armagnac in the local area ever since. Armagnac is a style of brandy, brewed in the Armagnac region in Gascony, and it uses a wider range of grape varieties than its cousin, cognac. VS stands for ‘Very Special’, and indicates that this Armagnac has been aged in oak barrels for up to 2 years. Clés des Ducs VS is made using Ugni Blanc grapes and aged in lightly toasted oak barrels for 3-4 months, to produce a fruity, easy-drinking Armagnac with low oak character. The result is a fruit forward spirit with flavors of grape, slight dried fruit, subtle spice, vanilla, sweet oak, cream, honey and flowers.
