Cohiba Extra Cognac
Description
The sap flowing through the vines in Grande Champagne is not yet Cognac. It takes time and the passion of people to turn it into something truly special. In 1819, Alexander Bisquit established his first distillery at the young age of 20. Over the following two centuries, Bisquit made a significant impact on the history of Cognac. The owner of the cellars, stills, and casks on the Lignères estate creates exceptional works of art. It takes up to 50 years to extract the finest elixirs. Cohiba Cognac Extra is a result of careful selection by Jacques Rouvière, Cellar Master of the Bisquit Company, and his Cuban partner Habanos. This special attention ensures an ideal combination with Cohiba cigars and offers exclusive experiences for discerning palates. "I have crafted Cognac Cohiba Extra using a selection of our best barrels, containing champagnes aged between 40 and 50 years. Its aroma of orange, almonds, and hazelnuts, flavors of plum, vanilla, and rancio, and its wild, distinguished, and robust character make it the perfect companion for a good Habano. The tasting reveals a wonderful harmony between the two, where neither overpowers the other. It is a perfect alliance and shared happiness." Jacques Rouvière - Maestro Bodeguero. Tasting Notes: The color is amber with golden reflections and hints of mahogany. The taste is assertive yet not aggressive, with a pleasant touch of bitterness. The eau-de-vie combines delicacy and strength beautifully. It is elegant, fresh, and smooth. The texture is both closed and light, resulting in a highly aromatic and balanced eau-de-vie. Pairing with Habano: They complement each other perfectly. The harmony is subtle and refreshing, with excellent balance in the mouth. Both elements interact and enhance each other. It offers a delightful serenity that captivates and pleases the palate.
