Comandon XO Extra Old Limited Release
Description
Comandon XO Extra Old is a premium expression of cognac, made from a blend of over 125 different cognacs. The average age of the cognac is 25 years, but they combine both older and younger cognacs to create a balanced flavor profile. The finish of this cognac can last up to 20 minutes on the palate after swallowing. Each bottle is hand bottled and labelled with individual numbers, and they claim to have limited supplies. Maison Comandon was established in 1821 by Pierre Comandon in Jarnac, France. The company has remained family owned and independent, and they take pride in having complete control over all aspects of their cognac production. The unique personality of their cognac is attributed to this fact. It is a full-bodied spirit with fruit-forward flavors and warm spices that add depth and complexity to its long finish. When poured, it has a coppery amber color, and on the nose, it has a typical oaky and juniper scent with a hint of sweetness.
