Initiale® Extra cognac combines the delightful tastes of old port wine, truffle, and hot fruitcake, resulting in an explosion of flavors that linger on the palate. The liquid is amber in color, with a captivating fragrance of forest floor, rich truffles, and cedar wood. The truffle aroma is developed in the cellars' humid conditions. The nose also perceives hints of port wine and fruit cake, providing a comforting warmth. The Premier Cru eaux-de-vie contributes to a long finish, intensified and concentrated by the aging process. The rancio brings forth wonderful notes of earth and wild mushroom, creating a deep and well-balanced amalgamation. The nose detects elements of wet grass, truffles, and wood, while the palate experiences the combination of dried fruits and vanilla. The finish is lengthy.
