De Luze VS Fine Champagne Cognac
Description
The De Luze VS Fine Champagne Cognac is a blend of eaux-de-vie from the two top growing regions of Cognac, Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne, with a minimum of 51% of the blend coming from the Premier Cru. The distilled wine was aged for at least two years in French Limousin Oak barrels made at De Luze's cooperage. All of the eaux-de-vie in this blend were distilled and aged on our Domaine and blended by our Master. The House of De Luze was established in the 19th century through an international setup. The brothers Alfred and Louis-Philippe De Luze opened a shop in New York to build business relations in America, and Alfred later founded Maison De Luze & Fils in Bordeaux, dealing in Bordeaux wine and Cognac, which were distributed via his brother's agency. By the mid-19th Century, Alfred and his family had enough success to acquire Chateau Paveil in Margaux and the Domaine de Chaine in the Grande Champagne region. In 2006, the Boinaud family purchased the brand, bringing their expertise and resources to elevate De Luze. The Cognac has a solid amber color and a nose with a light and summery quality, with notes of rose petals and a hint of chocolate-vanilla. The palate is smooth and round, with a fine cocoa character mixed with dried fruits and warm, sweet spices.
