Vesper is a mature and refined cognac blend made from 30-35 year old Grande Champagne cognacs. It has a full-bodied and round character with a remarkable finish. Delamain, the producer, does not grow grapes but purchases young eaux-de-vie from trusted distillers. These spirits are aged separately in roux oak barrels for 30-35 years and then blended. The blended cognac is further aged for 2 years to enhance its flavors and textures. Before bottling, older cognac is used to lower the alcohol content instead of adding water. The House of Delamain has been creating vintage Cognac since 1759 and is currently run by the 9th generation of the Delamain family. They exclusively release XO or older Cognacs and select the finest wines available each year. Vesper has a polished mahogany color, complex aromas of incense, dried fruits, and spices, and a delicate yet mature palate with rich fruitcake flavors. It offers perfect balance and a long finish.
