The Rare Prestige VSOP Cognac by Distillerie du Peyrat is an exceptional blend of Fins Bois and Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie with a minimum age of 7 years. It has a limited production of 160,000 bottles per year and offers a rich and complex flavor profile. The family has been distilling in the Fins Bois region for over three centuries and is known for their innovative distillation processes and environmentally-friendly production methods. This single distillery produced VSOP is certified organic, ensuring a high-quality and chemical-free drinking experience. The Peyrat estate is recognized as pioneers in organic Cognac production with their use of organic grapes, resulting in superior quality and intense aromas. The nearby river contributes humidity to the cellars, enhancing the maturation process and adding finesse. The VSOP is aged in new Limousin oak casks for one year before being transferred to older barrels for further aging. Like all Cognacs from this house, the Rare Prestige VSOP is certified as wholly organic. It has a round and light taste, with vibrant mahogany color and fragrances of leather, spices, plum, and vanilla. The palate offers flavors of vanilla, plum, apricot, and walnuts, and finishes with a sweet and oaky lingering taste.
