Felipe II Brandy
Description
Brandy de Jerez is made from Airen and Palomino grapes and aged in American oak sherry casks. The casks must have been previously used to age sherry for at least 3 years. The type of sherry that occupied the cask will impact the color, taste, and aroma of the brandy. It is exclusively aged in Jerez de la Frontera, El Puerto de Santa María, and Sanlúcar de Barrameda. This Spanish brandy has an amber color with reddish hues, reminiscent of a Spanish sunset. It has aromas of sweet spicy rhubarb pie. The palate is light to medium-bodied with flavors of chocolate, anise, and dried strawberry. The finish is tasty with peppery brown spices and dark caramel.
