Frapin 1270 Premier Cru Grande Champagne Cognac
Description
Exclusively sourced, refined, and matured from the Frapin estate's vineyards, 1270 pays homage to Frapin's land and expertise. This cognac serves as an excellent introduction to the full range of Frapin's offerings. Its rich golden highlights and straw color result from its time in new Limousin oak barrels. The bouquet reveals scents of vine and lime blossom, enhanced by a delicate touch of vanilla imparted by the Limousin barrels. These aromas promise the aromatic opulence that defines a superb cognac. The cognac displays a luxurious amber hue. On the nose, it exudes a floral character, evoking potpourri made from dried flowers, as well as hints of violet, dried rose petals, and dried fruit. Subtle notes of toasted oak and leather, unusual for a relatively young cognac, emerge as well. The palate is smooth and indulgent, featuring flavors of caramel and dried fruit, accompanied by nuances of vanilla, cinnamon, and tropical spices. With time, the cognac unveils notes of apple, pear, and milk chocolate. The finish is lengthy and velvety, with a lingering sweetness of dried fruits and a hint of caramel.
