Gourry de Chadeville Single Prime St Emilion Cognac
Description
The family has owned the Cognac property since 1619, making it one of the oldest houses in the Grande Champagne region. The Cognac is made from 100% Ugni Blanc grapes, which are twice distilled on the lees using copper pot stills. After distillation, the spirit is aged for four years in a St. Emilion red wine cask, and then transferred to used Cognac oak for another four years. This Cognac is extraordinary, with a smooth texture and flavors of orange, vanilla, butterscotch, and cherries. It does not contain any additives or undergo filtration, and is bottled at its original cask strength.
