Hardy Privilege Cognac
Description
The Hardy Privilege is a rare and refined Cognac blend made from Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie. Harvested before the First World War and aged for decades, it was bottled by Jacques Hardy in 1983. Limited to 333 carafes, this collector's item is signed by Bénédicte Hardy and affirms its premium quality. Distilled between 1906 and 1914, this Cognac survived two World Wars and aged for over 70 years in oak casks before reaching its optimal maturity. Those who have tasted the Privilege praise its delicacy and finesse. The House of Hardy, founded in 1863, is known for its audacious and recognizable style. Their Cognacs are refined, round, and offer intense flavors that are easily identifiable. The Privilege embodies these traits and is highly sought after as a treasure of their Paradis cellar. The carafe, designed by Marie-Claude Lalique, features the iconic Sydney Opera House-shaped stopper and a unique square design. The crystal carafe's sharp edges accentuate the deep mahogany color of the Cognac. Its modernist contrast and Art Deco-inspired design make it a stunning display piece. The Privilege has a deep mahogany color. Its aroma is aromatic, rich, and includes woody and nutty notes, as well as hints of spice and cigar boxes. On the palate, it is smooth with notes of Charente rancio, spice, cherry, and prune. It has a long and enchanting finish.
