When Achille, our ancestor, visited Font Giraud to propose to Irène Legrand, he discovered old barrels in his future father-in-law's basement, Hector. He saw this as an opportunity to become a renowned distiller in the Haute Saintonge region using this valuable reserve. Upon acquiring the estate, he labeled the barrels with the initials HL in memory of Hector Legrand, his father-in-law. The HL Reserve became a source of pride for future generations. We continue to be proud of and inspired by our ancestor's work. The Hector Legrand Reserve has produced exceptional brandies that we are passionate about sharing. Hence, we have named this additional brandy Hector Legrand. Its appearance is a deep brown color. The scent is full-bodied and rich. The taste is sweet, warm, and oaky, with notes of dried fruit and hints of chocolate.
