They have redesigned the original Cognac bottle, known as the charentaise, which dates back to the 19th century. The limited-edition carafe draws inspiration from archival design elements such as the House's vine leaf motif and vintage stamps from the original label. The packaging is a modern brushed aluminum coffret, adorned with words from King George IV's request for a superior old Cognac. Copper-colored embellishments pay homage to the traditional stills used in distillation, and the handle is made of full-grain natural leather that will develop a patina over time, reminiscent of the aprons worn by barrel craftsmen. The Hennessy V.S.O.P. Privilege 200th Anniversary Cognac, crafted from a blend of over 60 eaux-de-vie, offers a warm mahogany color. It presents notes of strawberry jam, clove, vanilla, and honey on the nose, while the palate reveals Christmas fruitcake, baking spices, and new French oak with a more mature fruitiness.
