Hine Grand Champagne Vintage Bonneuil 2006 Cognac
Description
The Hine Bonneuil 2006 Cognac is a single harvest from the larger growing area of Fine Champagne. It is an unblended Cognac that aims to showcase the unique terroir of Grande Champagne, particularly its chalky soil. The cognac is produced in a limited edition of 450 numbered bottles from 19 casks. It has a complex yet smooth taste, with flavors of fresh lychees, honey, nougat, toasted bread, and mirabelle plum tart. Hine Cognac has a rich history that dates back to the 18th Century when Thomas Hine arrived in Jarnac and married into the Cognac producer's family. He made significant changes to the company and expanded its trade beyond France. Today, Hine focuses exclusively on the Fine Champagne growing areas and oversees 115 hectares of land in Bonneuil village. The Ugni Blanc grapes grown in this region draw nutrients from the limestone-rich soil, resulting in a high-quality cognac. The Hine Bonneuil 2006 Cognac has a bright gold color and an aroma of lychee and honey. On the palate, it has a subtle mineral tension, toasted bread notes, and a hint of mirabelle plum tart.
