Clear Creek Distillery Blue Plum Brandy Slivovitz

Blue Plum Brandy, which goes by the names Slivovitz in Eastern Europe, Quetsch in France, and Zwetschgenwasser in Germany, is distilled from a fermented blend of Italian Blue plums grown in the Pacific Northwest. Clear Creek follows the traditional European methods that have been used for centuries and believes that their version is smoother, more fragrant, and more sophisticated than any other Blue Plum Brandy on the market. The liquid is clear and transparent. On the nose, there are hints of fresh plum fruit, along with subtle notes of new leather and clay. The slivovitz itself is incredibly smooth and refined, with a rich flavor of sweet plum fruit and a pleasing touch of spiciness. It finishes with a long and warming sensation, accompanied by a touch of nettles.
