Fassbind Fine Himbeergeist Eau-de-Vie
As early as 1395, the earliest ancestors of the Fassbind family cultivated cherry trees and produced cherry brandy. However, it wasn't until 1846 that the official Fassbind distillery in Urschwyzer was established. Just a decade later, Napolon III honored the distillery with a gold medal at the Paris World Exhibition, which was a significant achievement at that time. The raspberry spirit is crafted using fresh and fully ripe raspberries from central Switzerland. The berries are carefully macerated to create a spirit, following Fassbind's master distiller's special recipe for double distillation. This process results in an incredibly intense aroma. After being aged in stainless steel barrels for a minimum of two years, the raspberry spirit is meticulously infused with flavor. On the palate, one can experience the delightful taste of fruitiness from the raspberries, followed by a lingering finish.
