Fassbind Fine Rigi-Kirsch 7 Eau-de-Vie

Since 1395, the Fassbind family's ancestors have been breeding cherry trees and distilling cherry brandy. However, it wasn't until 1846 that the official Fassbind distillery was established in Urchwyzer. Just ten years later, the distillery was awarded a gold medal by Napoleon III at the World Exhibition in Paris, which was a significant achievement at the time. The cherry brandy is made from fully ripe cherries sourced from the Rigi region in central Switzerland. The cherries are carefully sorted and mashed upon delivery, and once they have completed their fermentation process, they are double distilled along with the fruit stones. This process produces a particularly intense aroma, with the stones contributing a subtle almond flavor to the brandy. After being aged for a minimum of two years in stainless steel barrels, the cherry brandy is meticulously evaluated. The Eau-de-Vie Rigi-Kirsch has received numerous awards. It has a delightful fragrance of fruity cherry with hints of almond, which are also noticeable on the palate. The finish is long-lasting.
