Fassbind Rigi Kirsch Eau-de-Vie
The Fassbind family's earliest ancestors were already cultivating cherry trees and making cherry brandy back in 1395. However, it wasn't until 1846 that the official Fassbind distillery was established in Urchwyzer. A mere ten years later, the distillery received a prestigious gold medal from Napolon III at the World Exhibition in Paris, a significant achievement at the time. The renowned "Eaux de Vie Rigi Kirsch" has also been the recipient of numerous awards. Made from the finest cherries grown in Central Switzerland, this fruit brandy follows a traditional and age-old recipe. After undergoing distillation using the counter-current process, it is then aged in the cellar for approximately twelve months. On the nose, it exudes fruity aromas with subtle hints of almond that carry onto the palate. It boasts a lingering finish.
