Lantenhammer Williamsbirnenbrand im Port-Fass gereift
The Bavarian distillery carefully selects the fruit for their Lantenhammer Williams pear brandy from three different growing regions. These regions include the South Tyrol, Bolzano Basin, and high-altitude areas of the Vinschgau. The high-quality raw materials used highlight the importance placed on the ingredients at Lantenhammer. However, selecting the right fruits alone is not enough to create a standout Williams brandy. The distillery's master distiller employs a gentle fruit processing method, a slow distillation process, and ages the brandy in noble barrels previously used for port wine. This unique aging process gives the brandy its characteristic color and a well-balanced taste. The Lantenhammer distillery, situated in Schliersee, Bavaria, bottles the premium brandy at 42% ABV in a slender 500ml bottle. The brandy exhibits a golden amber color and has an intense aroma of ripe pears complemented by hints of honey and oak. On the palate, it offers a smooth mouthfeel with a natural Williams pear flavor, accompanied by subtle notes of port wine and raisins. The fruity pear experience lingers in a long-lasting, mild aftertaste. For optimal flavor development, it is recommended to serve the Lantenhammer Williams pear brandy at around 17 C, which enhances its bouquet and provides a soft and slightly creamy sensation on the palate.
