Mad River Mad Apple Brandy

The original spirit of New England is apple brandy, which inspired us to establish a distillery at Cold Spring Farm in Warren, Vermont. We obtain apple cider from local sources in Vermont and go through the processes of fermentation and distillation using our Muller brandy still. Similar to our whiskey, we mature the brandy in new oak barrels. The outcome is an American variation of a dry apple brandy style found in Europe, which we proudly refer to as Mad Apple, A Wicked Vermont Apple Brandy. This fragrant brandy boasts fresh apple scents upon inhalation, with the flavors of oak spice and vanilla on the palate, leading to a refreshing apple finish.
