Nusbaumer Mirabelle d'Alsace Eau de Vie
The Nusbaumer Mirabelle d'Alsace is considered a highly esteemed brandy that is crafted from two top-tier varieties of Mirabelle: the Metz Mirabelle and the Mirabell de Nancy. The Mirabelle is predominantly cultivated in the Alsace, Franche Comt, and Lorraine regions. However, due to the exceptionally favorable soil found in these areas, production has expanded beyond the limits of these regions. Consequently, an increasing number of individuals have grown to appreciate the exceptional quality of this Mirabelle brandy. To produce a liter of Nusbaumer Mirabelle d'Alsace, approximately 18 kilograms of fruit are utilized. The ripening period for the Mirabelle ranges from six months to one year. To mitigate the potentially robust nature of the brandy in its early stages, the Nusbaumer Mirabelle d'Alsace is aged in older oak barrels, resulting in a smoother profile. The color of this brandy is transparent. In terms of fragrance, it is highly aromatic, capturing the essence of ripe fruit. On the palate, it is incredibly refined and smooth, with a honey-like flavor and a pronounced fruit bouquet. The finish is characterized by its freshness and vitality.
