Prinz Birnerla

Prince Birnerla is a spirit that has been enhanced with real Williams Christ pear brandy, resulting in a particularly fruity scent. The Williams pears used for the brandy are harvested when they are fully matured, aromatic, and prepared through a double distillation process. These pears are sourced from the Lake Constance region, known for its favorable climatic conditions for fruit cultivation. The area has a long history of cultivating Williams pears and is home to numerous distilleries, including the renowned Prinz Fine Distillery in Vorarlberg, where the Prince Birnerla is produced. The distillate is aged in earthenware containers in the distillery's cellars, allowing the aroma of the pear brandy to develop fully and imparting a distinct smoothness. To achieve a desired drinking strength of 34% ABV, the aged distillate is blended with a simple distillate after several months of maturation.
