The key to the success of this particular edition lies in the type of fruit used. The Altes Pfl�mle is crafted from a rare and old plum variety called Haferpflaume, which is now only cultivated in limited quantities in the beautiful Ortenau region. To enhance its flavor, the Altes Pfl�mle is refined with the finest plum extract. This spirit is then bottled at a robust 43% volume in the Black Forest, resulting in a delightful plum aroma. We believe that Scheibel Pfl�mle from the Premium Edition is an exceptionally fascinating and superbly distilled product, created using the Scheibel AURIA process. Having had the opportunity to visit the distillery ourselves, we can attest to the high quality of their fruit brandies and premium spirits. The distillery for fruit brandies was established in 1921, while the family used to operate a mill that has since been closed, now undergoing renovations to become a whisky distillery. The Scheibel family is investing in a modern distillery that has the potential to produce exceptional single malt whisky in the future.
