The Scheibel Distillery sources the highly fragrant mandarins from a top producer who grows them on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius in Italy. Only fully ripe mandarins with a bold flavor are chosen for this fine spirit. The oranges are crushed and soaked in high-quality alcohol. This orange mixture is then distilled with gold at the Scheibel Distillery and enhanced with a noble extract of mandarin fruit. The beautifully designed 0.7-liter bottle contains the Magma-Mandarine produced by the distillery in Kappelrodeck in the Black Forest, with a classic alcohol by volume of 40%. On the nose, the spirit presents very fresh and fruity mandarin notes with a hint of spicy lime, perfectly matured cognac, and a subtly underlying honey scent. Upon tasting, the spirit offers a multifaceted blend of sun-kissed mandarins with sweet hints of floral honey. A delicate touch of dried orange peel adds complexity to the sophisticated flavor profile. The finish is very long, smooth, and full-bodied. The reason for the "Plus" in this spirit is that the distillery denotes its distillates that have been enhanced with mandarin juice.
