Schladerer Zibrtle
This Schladerer Zibrtle Noble Fruit Brandy is part of the limited rarities collection from the Schladerer distillery, located in Staufen, Germany. Only fruits that are harvested by hand in small quantities are used for this rare brandy. Specifically, the Schladerer Zibrtle is made from the rare Zibrtle fruit, a wild-growing fruit native to the South Black Forest. This fruit is a small, bluish-yellow wild plum with more stone than fruit, making it a challenge to process in the distillery. However, the Schladerer distillery has managed to create a top-quality noble brandy from it. The Zibrtle noble brandy is presented in a beautifully designed bottle containing 700 ml of brandy with an alcohol content of 42% vol. It has a sweet aroma of marzipan and essential oils, and its flavor is a combination of soft almond notes and a pleasant spiciness. The finish of this brandy is always warm and pleasant. The Schladerer distillery is well-known for its fruit brandy production and this rare Zibrtle brandy is considered a special treasure for fruit brandy enthusiasts. The Schladerer rarities brandies, including the Zibrtle, are aged in ash wood barrels or stored in clay containers, which adds to their uniqueness and appeal. The production of Schladerer Zibrtle noble brandy involves temperature-controlled fermentation and multiple distillations in copper stills. After the initial aging in ash wood barrels, the brandy is transferred to clay containers. The Schladerer distillery is situated in the picturesque town of Staufen, known for its cultural, historical, and economic significance. The distillery can be found at Alfred Schladerer Alte Schwarzwlder Hausbrennerei GmbH Alfred-Schladerer-Platz 1 79219 Staufen.
