Sidetrack Strawberry Eau De Vie Brandy

Eau de Vie de Fraise, a cherished brandy in French, preserves the subtle taste and essence of fully ripe strawberries sourced directly from the farm. Similar to all Sidetrack products, the distillery's own farm in Kent cultivates the fruit for this brandy. Located south of Seattle along the Green River, an estate distillery collects crops from Lazy River Farms, benefiting from the coastal climate and fertile soil. Utilizing Portuguese copper stills and Italian stainless steel aging tanks, the distillery combines these with estate-grown blueberries and plums to create the distinctive flavors of their Eau de Vie. Additionally, their selection of fruit-based liqueurs such as blackberry, nocino, green walnut, and cassis are worth exploring. Although Sidetrack excels in producing plum and award-winning raspberry fruit brandies, my personal preference lies with their strawberry variety. Furthermore, the distillers at Sidetrack continuously experiment with their other fruits. The enticing aroma of this brandy and its flavor beautifully encapsulate the essence of strawberries and summer, while maintaining the inherent strength of a pure spirit.
