The vintage eaux-de-vie of A.E. Dor are some of the few remaining from before phylloxera hit the region in 1874. The company, led by Jacques Riviere, has launched a new range of products to cater to a wider and more international consumer base. This cognac is aged in a humid cellar, resulting in a soft and generous taste with prominent fruit notes, reminiscent of the old cognacs from Grande Champagne. The color is a beautiful dark amber, with a nose that reveals pleasant hints of vanilla, cocoa, and violets. On the palate, the cognac is strong yet smooth, with a well-rounded and lasting finish.
