Baron Otard XO Gold Cognac
Description
The personality of Baron Otard XO Gold is expressed through a perfectly balanced blend of the finest growths. The aroma reveals a harmonious combination of undergrowth and leather. Baron Otard XO Gold combines fruity flavors such as plum and hazelnuts with the softness of honey and a touch of violet. Years of aging in the cellars of the Chateau have given it a rich amber color with vermilion reflections, indicating its great distinction. Baron Otard, also known as Jean-Baptiste Antoine Otard, was imprisoned during the French Revolution and later sentenced to death. However, he was freed by the people and returned to France after fleeing to England. In 1795, he founded the Baron Otard Cognac House and later acquired the royal castle of Cognac, which still serves as the headquarters of the Baron Otard Cognac House today. He passed away in 1824 at the age of 61 and was highly revered in the Cognac region. The cellar of Baron Otard Cognac has thick walls that provide a constant temperature and high humidity of approximately 90%, which positively impacts the aging process of the Eau-de-Vie. The oak barrels are stored in multiple layers in the high vaults. All of these exceptional features ensure the extraordinarily high quality that Baron Otard XO has maintained for many centuries.
