Description
An Armagnac from Chateau de Laubade in the Bas region. The Chateau was built in the region in 1870 and has been run by the Lesgourgues family since 1974. The nose is fruity, elegant, aromatic and racy. It reveals notes of candied lemon, crystallized orange zests and small notes of apple/peach compote associated with hints of flowers, sandal wood, spices as well as a subtle hint of pâtisseries/creme brulee. The palate is fruity, very well-balanced and offers a fine acid frame, a slight minerality, gourmandise as well as a slight unctuosity. In the mouth this Armagnac expresses notes of pear in syrup as well as a fine unctuosity. Good length.
