The House of Delord, a family-owned business established in the 1890s, produces armagnac in Bas-Armagnac without the use of pesticides or fertilizers. They cultivate all four main armagnac grape varieties and distill the eaux-de-vie on-site using either traditional continuous stills or a double-distillation process. The older bottlings contain the new-make spirit from continuous stills, while the double-distilled new-make is used for younger bottlings. This particular armagnac has a minimum aging period of twenty-five years. The Delord 25 year Armagnac exemplifies the characteristics of a good armagnac, being bold yet subtly nuanced. The aroma is rich and woody, featuring hints of orange, prune, allspice, and dried flowers.
